If I don’t manage to get a proper job in the future I now have a great alternative perspective: I’ll be a truck driver! I drove all the way to Krakow, then to Wroclaw and back to Vienna. Polish drivers are crazy. Seriously. Also I feel like a mullet and lumberjack shirt would suit me really well. You can imagine how tan my left arm is. Poor right arm! Anyway, Krakow was amazing, we basically ate pierogi (polish dumplings) and drank beer 24/7. The city is so vibrant and young, sometimes even we felt a little old compared to the super young population there! I discovered the most awesome vintage store on earth, but more about that later. Now some impressions from Krakow.

Here’s some shots from exploring Chicago’s art spaces. Nick studies art at Columbia College, so I explored their shop and the spaces around. Then I headed to the Art Institute Of Chicago, which is just HUGE. There’s so much to see and since I went there on thursday, were entry is free between 5pm and 8pm, it was pretty crowded. I decided to explore the modern wing, which already took me more than and hour. There’s wonderful pieces, also some from one of my favorite artists Mark Rothko!
I am leaving Chicago today, heading to Amsterdam for a day before coming home to Vienna. I am so sad, I will miss this place so much. But talking about Amsterdam. You should check out afterDRK by Sabrina from Amsterdam. She’s the nicest girl and her blog is one of my favorites! Her style is so effortless and still chic. Visit her blog here.

I am overwhelmed. Impressed. In love! Chicago is so incredible… I walked around and despite the wind, rain and icy air I enjoyed it so much. There’s still photos I will post, especially of all the art I’ve seen. I took about 300 photos in 4 hours, so guess how hard it was to create a selection! Enjoy!
Shopping yesterday we ran into one of the Goorin hat shops. There’s a couple in the US and I simply love how they keep up the tradition of classical hat manufacturing for fair prices in wonderfully designed stores. Their hats are timeless, chic and beautifully made. The two Goorin brothers started hat making in Pennsylvania in 1895 and it’s still around! There’s 14 locations in the states and you should definetely check them out when traveling overseas 🙂 Or take a look at their website here.
