So today I went to Indianapolis, Broad Ripple and Zionsville with one of my best friends, Christian. I took 186 photos, so it was quite hard creating a selection. I decided to put up the Zionsville ones first, because I am so in love with that town. I was an exchange student there 4 years ago and its my second home. I will be back there for longer at the end of this week. Its a small suburb of Indianapolis and I just love how cute and perfect everything looks. Its incredible.

So on my last day in Bloomington (btw: did you know Scott Schuman from The Sartorialist went to college here?) I checked out Cactus Flower, a store that has both first and second hand fashion. I went absolutely crazy in there. Seriously. Their stuff is a) well priced and b) very unique. The whole store looks so inviting and has so much character. I talked to a really sweet and gorgeous girl, who let me take photos and told me a little about the store. I found loads of stuff, could have spent hours shopping but my time was very limited. If you ever get to Bloomington you should definitely check them out! Later I went out for Pizza with my two favorite americans: Chrissy and Christian. Saw the Pacers game – had some beers. Ready for Indianapolis!
I have seen TOMS on a couple of people and never tried any on. Yesterday I tried this cool pair on at Urban Outfitters and I have to say: they’re the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever worn. Leather bottom on the inside and fabric on the outside… Its like walking on a cloud. They’re so light! I started reading more about TOMS and found out, that with every pair bought TOMS gives a pair of shoes to a child in need. The shoes are being produced in Argentina, China and Ethiopia under fair laboring conditions.
I got them for 48$ here but Humanic sells them online here. Buy them, because you won’t ever wanna take them off and its for a good cause!
Then I found great cheap monday shorts. They’re very light, made out of a silky, slightly see-through fabric. The pockets on the side are oversized, what makes the shorts look really special.
So I got to Bloomington, the university town. Even though my trip was awful and I got here really sick, my day has been amazing. After I woke up from being a sick zombie we went for lunch and started getting ready for glowfest right after that. A real american college experience! At glowfest I saw the last bit of Chiddy Bang and then Pretty Lights, which was really impressive!
My last proper day in Vienna was wonderful. Went for lunch to Köstlich, an organic vegan/vegetarian lunch place in Färbergasse. They have great lunch menus and salads. I had the chick pea salad with avocado, sesame and the best dressing ever. Sophie went for a curry, that was delicious too. At night I went to Yohm and had the best dinner in a long time. Soft crab roll for starters, tiger prawn as inbetween course, fish curry as a main dish and the BEST chocolate cake ever and souffle for dessert. After we went to Nightflys, a really cool, old fashioned bar by Graben. I had my first Hendricks Gin Tonic and felt like a real grown-up (which I am not, haha)! The bar tender told me everything about liquors, its really a science itself. So now I am trying to get organized before leaving tomorrow morning! Any suggestions what to see in Chicago?
