money saving fashionista advice #1: look at famous people because they are paying a stylists to get them dressed right.
neither am i planing on becoming a duchess in the near future nor am i obsessed with the royal family, but if there’s one thing i have been noticing it’s kate middleton’s fetish for nude pumps. not only have i realized that she bascially owns a hunderd pair, but also that they’re a must in every girls wardrobe! first they work with everything and second they make your leg look longer. since i am not a pro in high heels and i get swollen feet super easily, i got quite happy when i found this 7.5 cm version from buffalo (product link in credits below)!
i HATE spending hours at the hairdresser and then at the end looking a) completely the same or b) horrible. i have finally found a hairdresser that does the job quickly and so beautiful, that i couldn’t be happier. so polished, so perfect.
always with me every day: coffee. can’t live without it, i am serious. i’m a big BBC (bitch before coffee), so first thing in the morning is a huge mug (btw this is a re-usable plastic cup that looks like the paper ones! omg!). what i really needed traveling are a good pair of chelsea boots (especially in london!) and – yay – i finally found them here.
three years ago when i started dariadaria i would have never thought that after such a short time i would have been so lucky to travel the globe as a blogger. i have stayed in many hotels over the past year, all of them very impressive in their own way. but this time in london i have had an experience that was very special to me. the nadler soho hasn’t only been my shelter for five nights, but also a little home.
the hotel is in the middle of soho and with rooms starting from 145£ definitely “affordable luxury”. what i loved about it? it’s such a smart hotel! there’s USB plugs, GHD hair dryers, tables that can be transformed into dinner tables and every room has a small kitchen with a coffee machine, fridge and water filter. rather than running a restaurant the hotel supports local businesses and gives advices on where to eat in the area and there’s the possibility to order pastries from a local bakery directly to the room. i love this idea as i never get to fully enjoy the included breakfast in most hotels and it’s still included in the price.
but what impressed me the most about this place is the home-like feel i got. meeting robert nadler, CEO of the nadler hotels, i realized this wasn’t a money making machinery, it’s a family run business made with a lot of love. the hotel supports artist such as hew locke (who did the beautiful sculpture over the entry) or ron diennet. if you’re looking for a stylish, cozy hotel, with great service in a great are – go for the nadler.
