INSTALIFE AKA MY CAMERA IS DEAD

this past friday, something i never thought it would happend! my 2500€ camera broke after only 7 months. not only that i was on a photo job outside of vienna and so, so desperate not knowing what do to, yesterday i had to give away my canon 5d mark II baby and won’t have it back until september.
not having my camera makes me feel naked, not only because i work as a photographer but also because i can’t shoot any photos for the blog! don’t know what do do with my life! knitting? no. cooking? better not. doing sports? too hot.
any suggestions how i can give my life SENSE in these days? aaaaargh. mark, come back to me!

DIY: WALL DECORATION

After my bedroom post a lot of you asked about those clips on my wall. i first saw them in a store in madrid  and have been looking for them EVERYWHERE ever since.
it was even hard for me finding out what they’re called! i finally ended up finding them on amazon (link on the images below) and they’re actually called “maulklammern” in german and the english pendant would be “letter clip” or something like that. They’re super cheap and I just love the minimal look it gives my bedroom.

bio ethanol fireplace via westwing

after showing you my bedroom here’s a super small peak into my living room. but the real star here isn’t my living room: it’s my new fireplace!
i ordered it a few weeks back with westwing (they also hava an iphone app now! if you download it today you get a 20€ voucher!), an online interior store that offers daily sales with reduced prices. i actually never thought of getting something like it, but actually it’s such a design piece that spices up any living room. i bought the bio ethanol here and even though now temperatures are still too hot to have cozy fireplace evening, i am already dreaming about it…

HOME IS WHERE YOUR SLIPPERS ARE

so there’s one thing deeply rooted in me being raised in austria: i love house shoes aka slippers. when i lived in italy no one would ever take off their shoes in the house and it kind of drove me crazy.
not only because it’s dirty, also because i just LOVE getting out of my outside shoes and gliding into fluffy slippers. when i saw these UGG slippers for the first time a few years ago, i fell in love ( little voice in my head: “THEY’RE SO FLUFFY I’M GONNA DIE!!”). so when i got them from sarenza i was like they happiest old lady, because i am finally owning the slippers of my dreams (god that sounds so dorky.)

PS: never thought i’d actually do an outfit post with house shoes on. world premiere on dariadaria!
