as you might have seen on my instagram, i went back to austria last weekend to be part of the jury of the Kastner & Öhler fashion award. now many of you might not know this name, that represents one of austria’s most beautiful and traditional shopping center chains, which has been celebrating it’s 140th anniversary this year.
the company has been in family hands in the 5th generation by now, which is really rare and impresses me the most, apart from their well selected range of goods. normally i am not the shopping center type of person, but really got into it touring the entire building that was re-renovated a few years back and still contains the typical art elements from it’s first times around 1894. Despite the horrible, horrible weather i had so much fun picking out a winner among the 70 young designers and getting to know the wonderful world of Kastner & Öhler.
