Incredible. It’s really, really, really hot! And I love it! I spent a wonderful day in the sun and got great lunch at DO & CO Albertina. Vienna’s just so beautiful in the spring. Also I checked out forever 21 today, after I’ve read and heard a lot of controversial issues about the opening in Vienna. When I lived in the US I didn’t really shop much at forever 21, I always thought their designs weren’t very tasteful and looked cheap. Now I like going in there every once in a while and I do find stuff, but I have to say that it does seem like a huge factory of consumerism and my brain is really overwhelmed with all the stimuli! It’s really loud, there’s way too much choice and it’s SO shiny. Let’s put it this way: forever 21 is definitely not one of my favorites, also considering the questionable law suits they’ve been going through in the past, but it’s a good thing that Vienna’s shopping landscapes is growing and international companies are setting foot.
Hi, my name is Madeleine Sophie and I am an Etsy addict. I have spent entire evenings browsing through shops, without noticing time just flying. First I wasn’t that much into Etsy, it was hard to find clarity in that whole jungle of shops. But after browsing and browsing I found some shops I really liked and ordered for the first time. I have posted the necklaces I bought here. I was super happy with both. I love Etsy for everything it is: supporting young/talented/local artists, getting very unique pieces and having a big choice. Here’s a selection of my favorite jewelry shops (just click on the images to check out their sites). I made sure all the shops are affordable for students like me.
I have lived int he 18th district for such a long time. Back when I was a child it wasn’t really a “cool” area. Nice for families, old people. But now the area around Kutschkermarkt becomes more and more hyped. It’s what I call the “bobo-effect”. Anyway: it’s great. Every saturday there’s the farmers market in extension to the regular market. Today we went, had delicious breakfast (I was so hungry, I forgot to take a photo of the great omelette) and drank prosecco in the sun. Later got some veggies and fruit and made fresh fruit juice at home. Could a saturday morning be any better?
